On the occasion of the ‘2500 years of the royal Persian dynasty’ celebrated with extravagant festivities by the Shah Reza Pahlavi, the well-known literally Greek magazine Nea Hestia dedicated in June 1972 a whole volume (no 1079) to Iran and the Persian civilization through the millennia. Personalities, as Professor Spyros Marinatos and the historian Andreas Stratos, contributed with twelve articles about the ancient history and the famous archaeological sites, the art and the poetry of Persia, as well as the Byzantine-Persian relations during Late Antiquity.
