Title
Hamsi!
Description
Inepoli (İnebolu), June 2000. Hamsi (anchovy), the Black Sea fish par excellence. Food of the poor, but of the better-off too. For millennia the hamsi has migrated in the autumn to the southern shores of the Crimea and to the whole of the south sea (Pontos) in order to winter there. Hamsi, hamsa and hamsia are the names by which all those living in the Euxine basin know these fish.
