Description
Marble inscription with golden letters in the outer narthex of the main church; dated 7 May 1995. The epigram on the inscription commemorates the venerable Monastery of the Virgin of the Source (Virgin Mary Baloukliotissa in Balıklı) which exudes wonder-working waters, the Hagiasma of the Zoodochos Pege (“Life-containing Source”), and the renovation of its main church undertaken by Patriarch Bartholomew.
