In 1975 Anastasios (Yiannoulatos), Archbishop of Tirana and all Albania published the first edition of his Islam: A general survey, a study of the monotheist religion from a theological and phenomenological point of view, but with attention also to its historical and ethnological dimensions (especially in Asia, the Middle East and Africa, as well as the Muslim communities of modern Europe). In 2006, an updated edition appeared in demotic Greek and illustrated with rich photographic material. The work is divided into three parts: Part One “The roots of Islam” pp 61-187, Part Two Islamic creed and ethos” pp 189-307, Part Three “Evolutions - Ramifications” pp 309-404.
