Bucovina: A Travel Guide to Romania’s Region of Painted Monasteries is a multi-author tourist guide (English translation) to the Bucovina region of Romanian Moldavia, its churches and monasteries. Its content is divided into three parts: Part One focuses on the region’s geography, history, way of life, art, architecture and religious traditions pp. 1-143. Part Two presents the 18 best known churches and monasteries in detail and with many accompanying plans pp. 144-429, as well as the 6 most important monasteries in the Prefecture of Neamţ pp. 430-439. Part Three contains useful information for the traveler pp. 441-488. “Index” pp. 489-495. The edition is illustrated with more than 600 C phot, 27 color maps and drawings, and a CD.
