Manuel Gedeon, History of Ganochora in East Thrace (1913) in Greek. Ganochora is the old Greek name-place of two neighboring towns in East Thrace / European Turkey: Ganos (modern Gaziköy) known from ancient Greek sources and Chora (modern Hoşköy), the main town of this small region, founded probably by the Byzantines in the 13th century.

The knowledgeable Manuel Gedeon, an outstanding personality of Greek Letters and Historiography who lived in Constantinople during the Late Ottoman period, decided to study the history of Ganochora when the terrible earthquake of the 27th of July, 1912, destroyed the two towns.

Note: The old Ganochora Region, along the Sea of Marmara, makes a part of the Tekirdağ Province.
