This is the first publication of the treatise Αναγραφή της Κυζίκου [Anagraphē tēs Kyzikou] (Ms 50 of the Library of the Greek Parliament) which was written in 1825. The text is transmitted to us as the work of an anonymous Greek writer whose origin was from the port-town of Artake (modern Erdek) at the south side of the Sea of Marmara. The treatise deals with the most important historical events of the ancient city of Kyzikos (Cyzicus) from antiquity up to the Byzantine era and reports the state of the towns and villages of the peninsula of Kyzikos (Turk. Kapıdağ Yarımadası) in the beginning of the 19th century. The edition includes maps, photos, Index pp. 127-135, and summaries in Turkish, English and French pp. 137-140.
