This is the new and revised edition translated in Greek and published in 2012 of the book: Peonies of Greece which was first published in English by The Goulandris Museum of Natural History in 1984.
It contains the taxonomic and historical study of the species ‘Peony’ in Greece with 15 colour illustrations by Niki Goulandris and 37 sketches by V. Koussoula. The book presents the genus Peony in a historic course of three millennia from ancient Greek myths and references to Hesiode and Homer, on Botany, Pharmacology and Medicine with Hippocrates, Theophrastus, Dioscurides and Plinius, until modern times.
