Red velvet saddle’s cover with facing ornamentation embroidered with metallic thread. It depicts the characteristic flora of Ottoman art (stuffed chrysanthemums, carnations, tulips). This high quality textile was obviously destined for formal processions. From the famous workshops of Bursa, late 16th – early 17th c.
