Marble icon screens on Andros by Alexandra Goulaki-Voutira and G. Karadedos (in Greek with an English summary on pp 272-275) and is the publication of a project initiated in 1990 as part of a research program on “Ecclesiastical marble sculpture in the Cyclades from the 16th to the 20th century”. The program has continued to focus on Andros since the special significance of this island’s marble icon screens for the development of the art of marble carving in the Aegean emerged in the course of research.
