This is a modern Greek translation of Hoddinott, The Thracians, an archaeological study of SE Europe, especially the central and eastern parts, from the Prehistoric period until the end of Greek antiquity and the early centuries of Roman rule. The well-known Thracologist concentrates on the Thracians who settled in the greater Balkan region at the end of the Bronze Age. Through an investigation of thousands of archaeological finds, Hoddinott compares the Thracians’ culture with that of their neighbors, constructing in this way an historical narrative which covers approximately 15 centuries.
