Gerald Lankester Harding was Director of the Department of Antiquities, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (1936-56), and a Fellow of King’s College, London. He is also the author of: Four Tomb Groups from Jordan (1953), Archaeology in the Aden Protectorate (1964), and An Index and Concordance of Pre-Islamic Arabian Names and Inscriptions (1971).
