Sophie N. Papageorgiou, Imbros. The history of a Greek island (in Greek). Historical study of general interest about the island of Imbros (modern name in Turkish Gökçeada), drawing especially on travelers’ accounts.

Chapters covering Imbros in antiquity (1), Byzantine, Frankish and Turkish rule (2), travelers and geographers (3) and inhabitants, church and education (4), as well as an Epilogue, Bibliography, and two Appendices: one on the effort to unite Imbros and Tenedos to Greece, 1/9/1945, and the other on the strategic role of Imbros and Tenedos (both memoranda of the Committee for the Struggle of the Imbriotes and Tenedians).
