George A. Sgouridis, Η Πέραμος της Κυζίκου [Peramos in the Peninsula of Cyzicus or Kyzikos / ancient Greek Arctonnesos / Turk. Kapıdağ Yarımadası] (published by the Σύλλογος Περαμίων Κυζικηνών, Athens 1968). Sgouridis, a refugee from the port-town Peramos, dedicated all his life in studying and collecting information, family and personal histories, archive material, about his lost homeland which the Greek population was obliged to abandon in the autumn of 1922 (after the Asia Minor Catastrophe). Finally, this most valuable volume, accompanied with rare photos and three detailed maps, was published in 1968. The sacred memory has saved for generations to come Peramos and the surrounding area of the south side of the Sea of Marmara as far as Troy.
